2011 Municipal Election Information from the Marion County Election Board

November 8, 2011 is election day and Marion County will be holding a municipal election for various offices, including the Mayor. To volunteer to help with election day, sign-up online or contact your local political party.

 

Early Voting

 The Clerk's office is the single location for early voting in this year's election.  You must present a valid photo ID issued by the state of Indiana or the federal government.

 

Hours:

Monday-Friday (10/31-11/4): 8 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Saturday & Sunday (11/5 & 11/6): 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Last Day - Monday, November 7: 8 a.m. to NOON

November 8 - Election Day!  Polls are open 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

 

Parking: During the week, use the pay lots just east of the City-County Building in the former Market Square Arena site.  You'll need to pre-pay the lot's fee, but you can ask for a voucher in the Election Board office and have your fee reimbursed when you leave the lot.  Use the Delaware Street entrance for easy access to the Clerk's office.

New State and U.S. Legislative Districts

In it's most recent session, the Indiana General Assembly adopted new State Senate, State Representative and U.S. Congressional district boundaries. However, these changes will not take effect until January 1, 2012. To check out the updated districts, visit the Election Board home page at www.indy.gov/election.

 

How to Submit your Election Day Feedback

The Marion County Election Board values your feedback, as we rely on it to improve our operations and make voting accessible to everyone. For feedback regarding your polling location, call the Mayor's Action Center at 317-327-4MAC. The Mayor's office selects polling locations pursuant to state law and submits its list to the Election Board about a month before the election.
