MCCOY, through its affiliation with Voices for America's Children (Voices), is pleased to announce the formation of Voices for Indiana's Children (Voices IN) - a network of local and state partners that will bring the resources that Voices offers to all state and local partners to increase efficiency and effectiveness of child advocacy within Indiana. We are inviting local and statewide partners to participate in this exciting advocacy opportunity.

Voices is the nation's largest network of multi-issue child advocacy organizations. Their nonprofit, nonpartisan network spans 46 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Voices leads advocacy efforts at the community, state and federal levels to improve the lives of all children, especially those most vulnerable, and their families. Voices has been on the forefront of every major child policy victory for the past quarter-century. Their nationwide network speaks up for kids and puts children on government's agenda.

Voices focuses on six main policy issues: Equity & Diversity, Health, School Readiness, School Success, Safety, and Economic Stability. These coincide nicely with MCCOY's policy issues: Student Success, Youth Engagement, Youth Program Quality, Youth Worker Professional Development and Early Intervention and Prevention. These priorities span a broad spectrum of issues and will engage a diverse array of advocates who will be able to not only increase their ability to advocate for their issues, but will also be able to join in a larger effort to create a unified voice for children in Indiana.

Voices for Indiana's Children, is a way to share information and resources on youth advocacy issues to statewide partners and to ensure that we are not only heard on a state and national stage, but that we can also connect with Voices members in other states to learn from their successes and challenges.

Interested individuals, organizations and coalitions can join the free network by completing the on-line application. Memberships will include formal recognition as a Voices for Indiana's Children member, policy updates, action alerts, resources from Voices for America's Children and networking opportunities. Individuals can also choose just to opt in to receive e-mail resources. For more information, please contact Mindi Goodpaster at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
